Who was the best player on the field during the Iowa-Wisconsin game?

Clearly it was Shobert and the love fest from the broadcast crew was justified. Cancer I had a good game, but his putting the ball on the ground late in the 4th could have been disastrous. He coughed it up late in the red zone against ISU. I am not knocking the kid. I am leading into my desire to see Wadley provide Canzeri some rest. Wadley doesn't play because he is fumble prone?

I think it has to do with fumbles per carry, but then I'm not being serious here......or am I?

FRENTZ, He did step on to the field a few times, Heck he passed the hash markers twice. He was playing to win today, taking a few chances. He showed his team he believed in them by some of the chances he took and they bought in! My vote is Frentz!

True. That hustle play by Croston went largely unnoticed. HUGE play there, and possible a game-saving one. Sure, Croston struggled in pass protection, but that play was absolutely key. A little disconcerting about Jordan's ball security, too. I, too, would like to see Wadley in there eventually. Hopefully he gets plenty of reps next week if we can put it out of reach early.

Schobert was in beast mode; however, how does GD not have a back staying in to help the young left tackle?

I don't know..after the first 5-6 big plays he made I'd think that maybe they'd get a clue that we need help to stop him? Guess not.

Just glad we were able to scratch out the win.

Although he was only on the field for a few minutes, Tim Krumrie, without question.

Agreed. I couldn't believe late in the game when they left Canzeri into block, and it wasn't to sit back and help chip on Schobert if he came free, nope. You HAVE TO ACCOUNT for a guy that is wreaking havoc on the other side of the ball and you don't know where he's going to line up pre-snap. That's piss-poor Coaching. To his credit, the guy made play after play, too fast for linemen and around the edge chasing, SOMEONE (a back, a tight end???) has to help out. I get it, he's good enough he's going to make some plays, but adjust and let someone else try to make a play. We did a piss-poor job of that for sure.

Best player on the field was #14 for the Black & Gold. Without him we probably don't win. 2 crucial picks & 9 tackles to go along with it. He's a game changer wherever he plays.

King is probably the best DB in the last 2 almost three decades. Sanders brought the lumber but was a safety. Jovon was good. Amari had the physical tools. King seems to be the total package.

You won 10-6 and were in danger of losing the game until very late and until Kapoi, one of three RS Freshman Ol's Badgers Played with, stepped on Stave's foot.I guess after losing to Wisconsin three straight, this is a big win.
We verballed two four star players this week, so the pain is somewhat diminished for us in a rebuilding year.
I think this game was for the West division , NW will lose two games IMO.
Hope both UW and Iowa win out and you get killed by the East winner this time instead of us.LOL
Good luck.

And you were in danger of losing the game in the 1st quarter, with Iowa squandering 2 1st and Goals to get 0 points after marching down the field with ease. At least if you were at the game, your ears shouldn't hurt, it was awful quiet on TV. :D

I recall a certain DB by the name of Micah Hyde who was a bit of a ball hawk on D....

Wonder where he is now?;)

Sounds as though the grapes are tasting a bit sour this morning. I love it. I loved taking my Iowa flag and running around the block with my wife living here in Madison. I love reading the paper this morning and reading how we were handed a gift by the sad sack homers. Love stuffing Wisconsin ground game. Love being able to run on Wisky. I love that Wisky and their fans will think they are better. What a GREAT day to be a Hawkeye!!!!!
