Trump definitely prefers yes people, and doesn't want anyone sharing or taking the spotlight. That's both insecurity and ego.

He's 100x the man Trump is, and I'm sure he knows it. I would expect it much more likely that Musk falls out with Trump eventually than Musk is a total yes-man.

I don't think Rubio will be a total yes man. I'm not sure Vance will be.

It's hard to say for sure, but people said the same shit about Jeff Sessions and Bob Barr. Hell, Jeff Sessions was the first person to endorse Trump and couldn't have been considered more of a lackey until he wasn't.

We'll see...I'm not 100% worried about it yet.
