Who wins? #17 Purdue(21-6, 9-5) at #22 IU (21-6, 11-3) 7:30pm CST ESPN

Boilers need to control tempo, or IU will win. Boilers better in a half-court game, but IU better going up and down. I doubt that Bryant will be able to stay out of foul trouble, unless Hammons goes into his passive mode. IU is hard to beat at home, but PU has the players to do it. Neither coach is a good in-game coach. GO BOILERS!

Indiana will win. Purdue's guard play isn't good enough to win at Indiana.
Purdue has to make it a half court game. Which I think will be difficult for them. Indiana will pack it inside on defense and let Purdue shoot long jump shots. Purdue misses long jump shots and Indiana will be out and running all game. Purdue does play good D and Hammonds should shut down Bryant on offense. So if Purdue can make Indiana play in the half court they could have success against Indiana's offense.

If purdue had just average guard play they would be incredible. Their perimeter play is killing them against indy.

I have to admit it, Indiana has turned into a damn good bball team. Through the first half of the conference schedule I thought they're record was a joke. But it's becoming more clear they're legit. They have to be odds on favorite to win the conference crown at this point.

They have to be....but they're not.

I think Indiana is legit, but remember they are playing at home. They have a road game at Iowa and a home game with Maryland to end the season. They pretty much have to beat Iowa at Iowa and hold serve at home. I wouldn't call them the favorite.

I still am not buying into IU.

When you look at IU's 6 games (out of 10 possible) vs the Top 6 B1G teams, you will see a VERY EASY SCHEDULE!

* they play MSU once (away) Iowa plays them twice.
* they play Purdue once (home) Iowa plays them twice.
* they play MD once (at home). Iowa plays them once, at THEIR PLACE.
* they play Michigan once (away) Iowa plays them twice.
The only team IU plays twice? Iowa

COMPARE IU'S B1G schedule to Iowa's, who plays 9 out of the possible 10 games vs Top 6 B1G teams.

A look at IU's record vs the Top 6 B1G Teams:

(6 games vs Top 6 teams) #22 Indiana (Current B1G record: 12-3)

@Mich...............WIN
vs Iowa..............WIN
@MSU...............LOSS
vs Purdue..........WIN
@ Iowa
vs MD

OTHER LOSSES: at Wisc, at Penn State

The unbalanced schedule always favors some team.Last year it was Maryland. IU didn't make the schedule--just won the games.

Indiana is looking good and has favorable schedule. Only three games left to four for iowa. Every game of ours is tough, including Indiana at home, plus we play them 48 hours after Ohio state and will be third game in 7 days. Indiana has it soft in comparison, including several days to prep for us. If we pull it off, this is going to be one great stretch of ball for iowa!

Hammonds , Swanigan, Hass and Edwards are as good as any front line in the country but Purdue has one of the worst guard courts in the country.

Kind of sad to watch.
