Who wins the West?

We do. I think we go 9-3 (6-3) and Nebraska also goes (6-3) but we beat them head to head on Black Friday.

jNW scares me. Could just be PTSD from some bad experiences over the years, but I think they are Iowa's most likely competitor for the West crown. That said, I haven't looked at their crossover games.

I realize last year doesn't have any thing to do with this year per se. Throw out last year then...I don't think we will go undefeated this year.

We beat wiscy last year on the road. They lost their DC & best player on each side of the ball....what makes you think we'll lose this year?

With what Iowa has returning from championship team last year i don't think anybody could argue that the Hawkeyes are the favorites to win the west. Whether they do or not is another story, so much can happen from now until November. The schedule improves but still avoid OSU and MSU. Michigan, Nebby, Wisconsin, and NW are home games. PSu and minny on the road both tough games. NDSu knows how to win ball games and I will not take ISU game for granted...they have a few playmakers...

I never said we would lose to them...I don't know where you're getting that. I think we lose to Minnesota, Michigan and either Illinois or penn state to go 9-3.

NW has tOSU and MSU. Illinois has Michigan and MSU and Wisconsin has MSU, tOSU and Michigan. For those reasons and what we have returning, I would definitely put us as the favorites, but it may come down to the Iowa/NU game. I assume the head to head game is the tie breaker, so even if we are a game ahead of them going in, we will need to win it.

If we can't beat MN and IL then we'll be lucky to have 6 wins....

Illinois was down 6 on their potential game winning drive when their rb fumbled. They could have won that game. Minnesota played us very closely also. You can win lose against an inferior team and not go 6-6. We lost to ISU as our only loss in 02 as an example.

The Iowa Hawkeyes
will (also) win the B10 champ game then play the
