And after last season, there's actually truth to this, sadly enough.
As much as people bitch (me included) about Nebraska fans flocking to these boards and hijacking threads, posts like this reinforce why they feel so welcomed.

I don't get it. I really don't. I, and many Iowa fans I know, never discuss Nebraska. At least not anymore than any other B1G school.
I honestly don't know what some Iowa fans' obsession with Nebraska on this board is all about. Maybe there are a lot of Iowa fans posting on here from western Iowa who grew up resenting the Huskers. I don't know. I'm from the Des Moines area and my formative years were the nineties. A lot of us enjoyed pulling for Nebraska when they would play i.e. Florida schools in bowl games because they were a Midwest team.
The infatuation and lavishing of affection on Nebraska on this board is beyond ridiculous. If the Huskers were so irrelevant, they would not be generating this much discussion. The reality is a lot of Iowa fans starting threads like these must feel threatened by the Frost hire and the prospect of a competitive Nebraska. And until these types of threads stop popping up regularly, I'm not going to call Nebraska fans out for trolling anymore.
I doubt I'm the only Iowa fan who feels this way.

Your schtick through the years is a big a reason why we get all Huskers/Clones all year long around these parts. It's hilarious to watch your work on HROT and here get almost universally derided yet your sensibilities always seem to be obliviously ruffled - that you have no capacity whatsoever to understand your role in it.

Did the Husker board ban all Hawkeye accounts recently? I went over there for some entertainment and received the ban hammer but haven't posted over there in months!!
I wouldn't say the board in general more or less certain select few posters like OP who fill the need to constantly start threads on it. Seriously take his away and you automatically cut the # of threads in half.
Then next step after one is started is all the Husker trolls who lurk pounce on it like a moths to a light bulb. Then pissing match drags on for multiple pages where you really have about handful of posters going on endlessly. With the same old post of the Husker history lesson, how they will dominate us in the future, and goes on and on. Then start calling Iowa fans obsessed with them which I always find ironic because of how often so many of them lurk and post here. Tell me how that isn't the same thing? Point and case this and other threads and the volume of them posting in it.
