1 million dollars to watch our o line gets dismantled every week and opposing teams kick our ass when it comes to physicality.. This isn't a knee jerk post, has been a terrible year in terms of strength and conditioning
Rabdo hurt his training program imo
Joe Moore says otherwise. But guys... Doyle won that Best S&C Coach award... or, whatever!
That clearly means he's the best in the business!
I asked this question earlier and i was hammered on for doing so.1 million dollars to watch our o line gets dismantled every week and opposing teams kick our ass when it comes to physicality.. This isn't a knee jerk post, has been a terrible year in terms of strength and conditioning

You mean the players going out & getting drunk the night before a planned high intensity workout.
Doyle is the reason why so many kids who were 2-star recruits in high school made it to the NFL.
God I'm tired of this.
What's the metric for this? How do you know?
So Doyle is magically putting on 10 extra lbs of muscle, and perhaps even making them grow taller?
You really think rhabdo is caused by a hangover!?!? Wow, just wow.
In other words , Ferentz.Wow, we're really grasping at straws to rationalize a loss.
Doyle is the reason why so many kids who were 2-star recruits in high school made it to the NFL.
Today's loss was due to average offensive talent, poor execution, and bad schemes. Strength and conditioning has nothing to do with that.
Lol.But guys... Doyle won that Best S&C Coach award... or, whatever!

I know what you are saying is true but it doesnt change the fact that he did alter his program bc of it. I mean, he had to, but it changed. No, I KNOW some of the players went out & got blitzed the night before. I am simply pointing out that putting the blame solely on Doyle is factually wrong.

Didnt Poggi's dad come out say say his own son didnt do a damn thing during the break.Which means he reflected & adapted to the
incident appropriately. I was simply pointing out that the argument that Doyle was the single cause of Rhabdo is fundamentally flawed.
In other words , Ferentz.
Okay, then what's your theory?
My theory is we have a coach who is good at preparing players for the NFL (unfortunately rarely good at preparing them for their own college games, but that's another issue) and since most of our players are 2 and 3 stars, a few of them will emerge NFL ready.
That's why the idea that we turn more 2 star guys into pro players than OSU, Bama, etc is because they don't HAVE any 2 stars! We do!
Wow, we're really grasping at straws to rationalize a loss.

Actually we get pushed back and bounce off runners a lot. I think strength plays a part
Youth on offensive line, overall talent.
Doyle can only do so much. Look, I couldn't care less about Doyle. The problem is bigger than him, if there is a problem with him. That's all I'm saying.
I don't think anyone is saying he is the sole problem.
But if you don't think overall strength hasn't been an issue for a couple years now, you are watching close enough. I have no problem if people want to question coyle. Because it's not just a 'young offensive line. It's an ongoing problem across the team.
Fair enough. But at some point you have to ask if they are asking Doyle to make chicken salad out of chicken shit.
Talent just isn't there for many positions.
But as you said they used to make 2 stars into NFL guys. They used to take that less talent and make them big and string and stopped doing that
How long has it been that Iowa has physically dominated the opponent on a regular basis?
KOK/GD/BF...what's the common denominater?
They're still putting guys in the NFL. I don't know what to tell you, man. It's frustrating, I know.
