Only 11 FBS/P5 teams have won a seat in the College Football Playoff, since 2014
  • Alabama and Clemson have been in it 6 out of the 7 seasons
  • Ohio State won the first and has been there 4 times
  • Oklahoma has four visits and zero wins, but game with Georgia in Rose was a good one!
  • LSU won it all the lone visit in 2019, our last "normal" college football season, right?
  • Oregon and Georgia each have made a one visit to the Championship Game, then exited quietly
  • Florida State, Michigan State and Washington were one and done making the Final 3 of 11 who have hit CFB playoffs paydirt
So, back to the question, will we get a 12th, even a 13th in 2021?

Week 1 - Clemson vs. Georgia is huge game. If the Tigers fall, could this be another season (2014) where Clemson falls short?

Strength against possible weakness (thorn)
Clemson DL vs. Georgia OL?

Week 8: Notre Dame and USC

Neither of these two programs in 2021 should be handicapped as worthy candidates. The Fighting Irish are not a Top 10 team in 2021.

Better Pac 12 programs worthy of consideration in 2021.

A lot of mention of love for Iowa State. Not buying Matt Campbell getting through season with only 1 loss.

Week 11 Michigan at Penn State

Nice to see a mention of a couple of Big Ten teams this deep in the season, but after 2020, can we take either team serious as a contender for the CFP?

It's Memorial Day weekend. Rosters aren't fully known yet. A couple of Pac 12 schools just concluded spring drills in late May.

Will FCS teams, having had a spring season, upset any FBS programs in Week?

Advantages or disadvantages of pandemic disruptions.

Iowa should have solid secondary room for 2021.

Now, if only the OL, DL and team as a whole can gel early on!
