Winnipeg - anyone been?

My family is going up there in a week. Has anyone been there with suggestions of where to eat or things to see? We do have reservations at a Brazilian Steakhouse, so that should be good. Two days are for the Women's World Cup, but we have 3 other days to kill. Any place that looks interesting outside of Winnipeg is another 10 hour drive, it seems. Thanks!

I think I have found the one place in North America where HROT knows little about. Damn. I was hoping some ideas beyond what we can find on Google.

I'm pretty sure there is really good fishing up near Winnipeg. If it was me I would use the extra days to go catch a huge northern pike.

I went 20 years ago. Easy to walk around the downtown area. Went to an ahl hockey game and drank like Canadians. Bars don't seem to ever close. Recall last call was announced 4 times before some Canadian sing along song came on then everyone cleared out. Drink a lot and you'll have fun.

I haven't been before there but I'll also be there for the Women's World Cup. Only making it to the first match though. Apparently the Crown Royal distillery is nearby? I have some friends that are thinking about checking that out

I've been there twice, both for one day. Nice, clean city. We actually got so,e very good sushi there ( they have a very large Asian population). Winnipeg kind of reminded me of St. Paul.
