Over the last five years, Wisconsin will have been to three Rose Bowls and two Final Fours, that is incredible. The series record between Iowa and Wisconsin in football is 44-42-2 in favor of Wisconsin. Wisconsin leads the series in basketball 82-79. I've always looked at the two athletic programs as twin brothers. Wisconsin has had unprecedented success in the two major sports and have passed Iowa, at least for the time being.
I am both happy and jealous of Wisconsin's success. It brings me some hope, too. If Wisconsin can do it, Iowa can, too. Hopefully, Iowa's time is coming. I think we're closer to reaching a Final Four than a Rose Bowl.
Unfortunately, there may never be another time when OSU, PSU and Michigan are down at the same time. That's part of the reason that Wisconsin was able to get to three Rose Bowls, but still impressive, either way.
