This reporting site has them going from "Not Rated" to #22 on 10/21/24.

#21 Creighton just went down to South Dakota State 76 - 71.

Ranked Upsets Yesterday:
Harvard beats #25 Indiana (at home) in OT 72-68
Illinois beats #19 FL ST 83-74

If we beat VA Tech Sunday, could have a good chance to move into Top 25 since we were #26.

We got jumped by Stanford. We're still #26.

EDIT:
After seeing who Stanford beat the last 2 games and by ~30 points each, I guess it makes sense.

Standford and Oregon. Iowa basically didn't improve at all in the eyes of the voters by their game to VTech.

Stanford, Illinois, and Oregon had quality wins. However, they also all benefitted from having home court advantage against relatively weak "ranked" teams that are incorporating new players and finding their identity early in the season. (Think when we went on the road two seasons ago and lost to a terrible KSU team...)

I’m ok with them not being ranked right now. Let them be the underdog and continue to gel and get better. I hope it motivates them to prove how good they are and that Iowa wbb was and is more than just Clark. I don’t say that as disrespect to CC, but feel there are many non Hawkeye fans who didn’t recognize that it was more than one player who helped Iowa to back to back final fours. Granted, it’s not likely we make it there without Clark, but she also couldn’t have done it alone and was not surrounded by scrubs. I would think Clark would share that sentiment, though feel free to share if you disagree. I think this team is hungry for some respect and to prove some of the doubters wrong.
