The board libertarians might be able to get on board with this idea. Maybe some of you Ds and Rs as well.

Maybe Democracy is more difficult than we think? Maybe it isn't natural right now for most of the planet to embrace Democracy. I saw a great documentary that said Islam really isn't a religion tailored to Democracy. Christianity isn't either but it's much more tolerant and that's why America has a Democratic Republic. Not perfect and full of corruption, but hey, so is the rest of the world. Expecting perfection is naive when this board makes it perfectly clear how many unethical voters WANT politicians to buy their vote with corrupt gov't.

What do you think?

Is the middle east - Africa - central america - major chunks of Asia conducive to democracy? Honestly, Democracy kind of feels like a "white mans" game IMO. I wanna hear your feedback. And use your big boy words when doing so please.

I don't think most of America is ready for Democracy.

Too eager to be ruled.

Christianity had a reformation that made coexisting with democracy much more of a possibility. The power of The Church was decentralized. Not sure that would work with Islam since governing is woven into the fabric of the religion and Martin Luther was rebelling against a single monolithic entity that doesn't really exist in Islam

In order to have a successful democracy you must have a well informed electorate, and it's difficult to maintain even when this is achieved.
