Obviously none of us are shocked by Garza getting the nod and he is, and should be, the front runner.

For the ladies, though, Caitlin Clark is really not one of the top 15 players in the nation?? She is leading the nation in points per game and second in assists. What gives? This is the 2nd award she has been passed over for.

Iowa has had representatives for this award just recently.

Freshman doesn't seem to matter if you are good. Certainly doesn't matter on the men's side.

Earlier this week on Tuesday she was named one of the 10 semifinalists for the Naismith player of the year in WBB......

Earlier this week on Tuesday she was named one of the 10 semifinalists for the Naismith player of the year in WBB......

I didn't know that and glad to hear it but she was also omitted from the PG award semifinalists.

She is incredibly gifted and I feel like she is deserving of these accolades.
