World Cup

Frank had criteria but they gave it to the other guy? What happened?

From Trackwrestling day 1 review:
MOLINARO FALLS TO VALIEV IN CONTROVERSIAL BOUT
Frank Molinaro dropped a controversial 4-4 decision to last month’s Yarygin runner-up Cherman Valiev of Russia. An early takedown and fleeing the hold call went in favor of Valiev when, in reality, Molinaro was simply defending the attack and hadn’t been broken down past his quad pod. There was also a blatant singlet pull by Valiev to prevent Molinaro from getting a go-behind. Throw in the fact that Valiev didn’t engage from Molinaro for much of the second period without a warning for passivity and this match showcases the officiating issues that continue to plague the sport at its highest level.

And the article didn't even address the fiasco at the end of the match. Any wagers on Foley extolling the virtues of world freestyle officiating tomorrow?

Thanks bud...sounds like Frank took it right up the you know what.

The Russian was looking for phantom blood to stop the action. Jamie Hernandez broke a returning Illinois state champ about a month ago and the kid did the same thing. On several occasions he would point to invisible blood on the mat trying to get a breather.

Have Hernandez and Gomez hit yet this year or will they?

Last week at sectionals Gomez 3-1 over Hernandez. 138 is tough in IL this year. Today in quarters of State Gomez skates by 7-6 to Anthony Cheloni and Hernandez goes down 7-5 in SV to Kendall Coleman.

That's called a Jersey salute.
I was going to say. He's from Jersey (and not just from any part but right next to the Shore) and he's Italian. That move for his demographic is like a reflex - might as well ask a construction worker not to crane his neck to stare at a passing secretary's booty

Somewhere in Iran, TR is severely disappointed at your clear display of misogyny
