Apparently Doug Gottlieb said something stupid again. So, with Skip and Doug being in the news recently, I thought I’d hear what HROT has to say on the matter.

For in game commentators, Joe Tessitore is awful. Was happy when he and Booger were moved off MNF. Was also happy to see him back where he belongs on ESPN calling a crappy college football game.

For talking heads, all of them. Sports, politics, it doesn’t matter. I don’t need to hear someone’s uneducated opinions with an agenda being fed to me as fact.

Prefer following guys like Matt Bowen on Twitter who teach.

The H.O.F. of horrible commentators who would be first ballot are John Madden, Dan Dierdork, Bill Walton, and Randy Cross.

I thought about him. I actually like Brent. He’s just a dirty old man who should have retired earlier in my opinion.
Oh sure, the ol “he’s just old and doesn’t know better” defense. Dude is a fvcking creep that was lucky to keep it unknown for as long as he did.

After listening to Joe Buck do the football game this weekend and the World Series game I had to revitalize this thread and ask how the hell Joe Buck is not an option.

It’s funny, Musburger does a show at the SouthPoint Casino in Vegas where they talk about sports betting and lines each week. Dude knows his stuff.

Mark Jackson should be on the list.

No way.

I love listening to him on NBA broadcasts.

Especially when they are headed to a commercial break showing replays of action that just occurred. "hand down....man down". "mama, there goes that man".

Breen, Jackson and Van Gundy are a great team.

I forget the gal's name who called the Iowa-Penn State 6-4 game. Tate got tackled at the 1, pushed back into the end zone and she was calling for a safety. Believe Tomzak (sp?) was the other commentator who had to point out to her that forward progress was a thing.
