Good job Choke eyes. Sad....haven't seen a team fold like this since....since....well....Iowa! No heart from this team or coach ....same story different year....oh well...we get one game in tourney and pack it up....hope Jok us smart enough to pass up final year with his knee.
It was no surprise. Once the game go to within 5 pts you knew Fran and MG would find a way to lose this game. I've never seen a combo that keep repeating a failed formula more time. I'm surprised Fran didn't take out Jok and Uthoff out of the game and put in Wagner and Baer at the end to make sure there was no chance they could possibly get the ball for the last shot.
Feel free to pack it up yourself. Hyperbole and cliche seem to be your strong point. I feel dumber for having read this.
No it's not. It would be pathetic for a veteran team that started 10-1 to finish 11-7

Everybody please remember the unwritten rule of this board: "We must never speak negatively of the team and especially of Saint Franny". Remember Saint Franny rode in on his white horse and saved us of from the clutches of the evil Sir Likiter, for that we must be forever grateful to Saint Franny and never speak ill of him. It doesn't matter that for the second year in a row his team is tanking spectacularly at the end of the season and seems completely lost on the court and will likely go from 10-1 to 10-7 losing 6 of their last 7 games. We must always be grateful that's he's better than Likliter and that's all that counts. All hail Saint Franny for he is better than the evil Likliter! Remember, one must never be realistic about the way the team is playing or the coach's ability, just stay positive; only then can you be a true Hawk.
Please enlighten me. We looked better than any Iowa team in 30 yrs for the majority of the season. Things have gone bad. Please tell me, what coach shall we bring in? Obviously, we could have our pick of many elite , can't miss coaches. Surely we should have better players, we are such a national recruiting hotbed. Of course, the players we have can not continue to shoot at a historical rate the entire season with this coach. He probably made them change their shooting style a few weeks ago, ya, thats it.
Many of you are going to be disappointed with life it seems. Sheeot happens, trying to blame a guy in a chair on the sideline is an interesting way of coping I guess.
It absolutely was his shot. Jok is the only one out there with a clue currently. I'd take Pete shooting game winners over uthoff, Clemmons, Woody and especially Gesell.

Dr. Tom had several teams better than this team and I'd take Alford's Recker team, pre-injury over this team (and the 2005-2006 team). This team has two outstanding players, Uthoff and Jok, who Fran has wasted their talents because he failed to bring in quality guards following the arrival of AC and MG. Squandered opportunity by Fran because he wants an entire team of wings. You can't have 2 guards who have little/no offensive game, and can't beat anyone off the dribble. Put Tyler Ulis on this team and they are a final four contender, but instead Fran goes all in with Ulis and has no fallback plan.
