So, I've been working a little bit on a "prediction engine" for individual matches, as well as for duals (just 10 individual predictions compiled for a dual). I'm fairly happy with the way it's turned out so far.

That got me thinking about the re-write I've been wanting to do for the dual rankings. Currently, I just take the ranking of each of the 10 starters for a team, and that those values to get the team total. Then rank all teams. This produces [what I thought] to be some skewed results because of the differences weight-to-weight, and don't properly reflect a real-life scenario where, in a dual, it's just one wrestler against another.

So, this morning I re-wrote (created a new one) the dual ranking system to utilize the prediction engine.

I looped through every team, and pitted that team against every other team in D1 (76 total matches). For each match, each of the starters were run through the prediction engine for each weight. Even though this is a time-consuming process to run on a weekly basis, I feel it gives a better example of "dual" strength.

I can honestly say, I love this new ranking system, and I can't wait to place the "WrestleStat Prediction: " in wrestler and dual comparison pages for next season, as well as the weekly fantasy pick'em stuff.

Here are the results (sorry for the poorly formatted list here, Google Drive is blocked at my work, my image hosting provider says I'm out of the freebies, and I don't want to take the time to sign up for another image hosting website. If someone wants to throw this on their own image hosting site, let me know and I'll email it.)
