Wrestling meet at Kinnick in Nov.....

Attendence records aren't set on ticket sales. People still need to show up on Nov. 14 but yes, it appears Iowa will shatter the attendence record.
You know what I mean. I heard Brands predicting 20-25k. Looks like that will be smashed quite easily.

Another interesting note is that the football team will be playing Minny just a few hours later that night.

IA ticket office reported that they sold 18000 tickets to this event in 3 hours this am. Awesome.
14000-15000 were bought up by season ticket holders who were able to purchase them before they went on sale to the general public. Personally I bought 10.

Too lazy to look it up - how much were the tickets and how many are they selling? Could be a fun day of tailgating in the morning - take a couple hour breather to watch the meet and then tailgate more before the football game.

Tickets are ten bucks each.

They are also selling those tickets as part of 3 pack where you get the outdoor duel, a ticket to the Big 10 champs in Iowa City and the April Olympic trials. Not sure how much those 3 packs cost though.

Just over $200, I believe.

As of this afternoon, looks like there is no availability in the lower sections of the South EZ.

122, 123 (Fball students) and 124 only have singles, even at the top. Ditto for 108-110.

214-218 basically have singles until the top 10 rows, then plenty.

The corners of the SEZ have plenty.

After 25k it is all GA, so they can simply fill in wherever and watch it on the screens.

I would guess a lot of the demand for today was twofold: 1) to get in the first 15 (ticket to carver if weather bad), and 2) to get in the 15-25k to get a reserved seat (and ticket to another meet). After that sales will slow until right before the meet, and then the rest will simply be walk-up football tailgaters.

I'm not sure what they are doing with students. I know that they are putting bleachers on the field to surround the north side of the mat, and students are free, but have to reserve tickets. Do they get to choose their seats (up to GA) like everyone else? Is there another section for them? GA?
