A Hawkeye offensive juggernaut is officially born - two consecutive 40+ point outbursts featuring 300+ passing yards and, against Indiana, 6 Passing TDs to 5 different receivers.... all on the road. A tougher test awaits Stanley and his targets at home next weekend when Maryland invades Kinnick but the Hawks are flying high in October, Stay tuned.

The season has reached the halfway point so its time to find out who the Y/N season ticket holders are. Check out the cumulative scores for those contestants who have entered all six weekly contests so far this season in the debut of the Hardcore* Leaderboard below.

Congratulations to this week's winner gtghawk who strolls in to give the Y/N contest a try and proceeds to answer every question correctly for a perfect 10-0, a historical rarity but the second perfect score this season. Well done.

Ralphio, LAhawkeye, and BIG BOY HAWK all posted 9-1 scores to tie for the Runner-up spot. Colten Rastetter's punt yardage (TB=89) favored LAhawkeye (TB126) for 2nd place by virtue of his closer TB prediction over Ralphio (TB157) and BIG BOY HAWK (TB196).

I will probably update the Hardcore Leaderboard biweekly until the end of the season. Looks like everyone will be chasing Obviously Oblivious who is off to a fast start in the chase for the Overall...……...

The Hawkeyes travel east this weekend where Kirk Ferentz will again face a different Hoosier football coach, the 6th since Ferentz was hired - the hyperkinetic Tom Allen. Tom Creen with a headset. In honor of Coach Allen, I will be munching on nachos topped with red hot chile peppers at game time. Indiana and OSU combined for more than 1000 yards of offense last week, what's in store for Indiana-Iowa? Let's get it on...……………
