Which way are you football oriented? If you are a defense minded fan like me, Saturday's contest was a jackpot of stops and a solid display of defensive prowess. If you are offense oriented, you likely experienced around 3 hours of alcohol fueled frustration bordering on despair. Either way, 13 proved enough for a W and the 2-0 Hawks now move on to UNI prep. On to the contest results...….
The ISU freebie really helped to goose contest results this week. Only 3 of the 52 entries scored below .500. Two veteran Y/N contestants figured everything out.
Congrats to Obviously Oblivious (10-0) and KuwaitHawk (10-0) for posting perfect scores this week. Very nice. In a perfect world two co-champs would be crowned but Hawk fans strive for absolute perfection so only one stands alone at the top of the Y/N podium. The Hawkeyes managed just 271 yards of total offense against the Clones (TB = 271) so a low TB prediction will decide this.
And the winner is..... KuwaitHawk (TB 347) edging the more bullish Obviously Oblivious (TB 389) who is left wondering why Nate Stanley couldn't complete a few more downfield passes last weekend.
Honorable mention to jimney1974, 87alum87, Hawk-I-St8, mikesright, and tidhawk for scoring a very respectable 9-1.
