I think its safe to say that whoever is hired to replace Darrell Hazell at Purdue has a 1979 Hayden Fry rebuilding project on his hands. Plenty of big run plays for the Hawks on offense. On the downside, the Iowa passing game is still struggling without Matt VandeBerg. Here is an interesting stat: Desmond King, at CB, has twice as many pass receptions as heralded 2014 WR recruit Jay Scheel has in the 21 games since the beginning of the 2015 season. Anticipating stacked defensive fronts and LB blitzes from the Badgers. On to the scores.......
This high score this week was 7-3 which produced a two-way tie at the top between KuwaitHawk and Week #1 winner HeRKeYeHoPeFuL. Congratulations to KuwaitHawk (TB203) who can thank Akrum Wadley's long TD run which bumped his rush yardage (TB =170) enough for a win over HeRKeHoPeFuL (TB121).
I had the pleasure to join rare company in the Y/N Hall of Shame this week by posting a woeful 0-10. The permanent stain is bad enough but in honor of KuwaitHawk's victory, I dropped down for 20 extra at the gym this afternoon.
