Games in which Iowa really outplayed the opponent but made mistakes, couldnt hit some key FGoals, the onside kick in the 2010 game, a punt snap over the head out of the endzone for a safety in the 1997 game.
Blunders etc are a huge part of the game and we as hawk fans just like most fans have to take the good with the bad.
Yesterday's Minny drive of 88 yards over 9 minutes was very empty after they lost the fumble. Loss of scoring opportunity to take the lead, waste of time and field position. It was huge. Coker had a ton of empty to near empty yardage in that 2010 game as there was a missed fgoal and lack of redzone tds. Tavian Banks and Dwight had a lot of yardage wasted in that 1997 game because of bad weather, high winds and lake effect snow.
I cant remember what coach said it but it was something like " most football games come down to 6-8 plays". That was yesterday.
