not trying to be a doosche here as I know coming on your board after a loss is grounds for being a doosche.

That said the Big Ten is a defensive first conference. I thought both defenses were outstanding which is impressive considering their were key injuries on both sides.

There is a reason why the Big Ten always does well in bowl season. It's the only conference that plays any defense outside of the SEC.

Your board freaks out every year you lose to us, but it always seems that the team ends up having a good season after the loss.

Still a lot of football left. Good luck the rest of the way!

Appreciate the sentiment. I don't think you're trying to be a douche and don't take your post that way.

I don't think Iowa fans are intending to be disrespectful to Northwestern. The criticisms of the offensive performance today are legit. Plus, the issues Iowa fans are having go beyond today's game. And, with all due respect, Northwestern is not exactly a juggernaut on defense. I know they played well against Barkley, but overall they are average on defense, and their passing D has been awful this year.

The bottom line is the Iowa program is stale and mediocre right now and fans are tired of seeing the same brand of football with no improvements.

Stop beating us and we won't freak out. Thanks.

Lol, did you even watch the bowl games last year? Honest question. 3-7 with multiple blow outs (Kirk says you’re welcome), one win over Weatern Michigan, and losses to Utah and BC. Best win was NW’s over a mediocre Pitt team.

What brand of football do you want? You're Iowa! Known for a smash mouth tough brand of football.

Well, that's one of the problems right there: Iowa is not playing a smash-mouth, tough brand of football right now.

And just because you dominate (or are supposed to) in the trenches doesn't mean you can't use a little imagination and creativity in the play calling.
