Of course they are. It's about the children. It's better to get them here safely then to let them travel through the desert and possibly hurt themselves. You can understand the logic, can't you? What should happen is to just get 10-15 777 and load them up with trips to NY City, Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Louis, Miami, Boston, Detroit, and all the cities that are dying for more people to fill all the job vacancies due to the excessive number of jobs Obama is creating.

I look forward to reading your argument. Logic would seem to dictate politicians are much more likely to get votes by being against this than for it. Please lay it out for us, how is foreign aid the key for victory in American elections?
Still not seeing it, majority votes win elections and how does foreign aid win the hearts of even the minority? You have a lot of explaining to do.

First that is a very long play unlikely to pay off during the careers of the current politicians. Second it's not clear at all that those illegal kids will ever be citizens. I think you may be getting worked up over very little. Do you even have a link that detail this program?
Personally, I think they all ought to get to live with IMCC at his Home for Wayward Children of Illegals. That and a little guided work study program would teach these kids a lesson.
Thanks, I had missed it. I did note the story indicated the immigrants needed to have legal status before they could qualify for this program. That said, this seems all too Christian and pragmatic for my taste.
indeed, fiscal and social justice would dictate they don't here on the taxpayer....If at all. Totally unfair.

Just because someone under 26 can be insured under a parent's program doesn't mean they have to be. It's still up to the parent.

Clarinda already answered for me, so apologies for the delay in my return to the thread.
Let's ask you to come up with alternative reasons why the politicians want to ignore the law on this stuff, especially since you seem to think it goes against the grain with the majority of Americans? Isn't that political suicide?
Yep, this seems politically dumb to me. I can't see this winning a politician many votes. I can see maybe two lines of thought where this might make sense to bureaucrats however. First, it might be the nice Christian thing to do to reunite parents with kids. Second, it might be more cost effective to fly in the kids rather than deal with all the kids at the boarder like happened last year. I bet each one of those boarder kids cost more than a one way plane ticket. The program has the added benefit that it requires the parents turn themselves in and register for legal standing which is probably of some value to law enforcement.
So I'm assuming this is 100% Obama? I hope he's using Hotwire, because these SOB's shouldn't get to decide when they fly!
