hmmm i thought Turk might have earned himself another opportunity to make the lineup against Lehigh after he beat Parker and Murin lost to Parker.

But ISU is going to Uni.

157 got real interesting

How is it interesting? Carr is the #3 overall recruit in his class and Brands way down at #60. Brands does not even belong on the same mat. Anything but complete destruction by Carr would be considered major suckage. Not even worth his time to go to the tournament. ;)

Seriously though, I'm happy to see Brands putting himself out there looking to get better.

I was talking about Carr vs Glosser.

I have been told by multiple on this board tha Brands is clearly behind Glosser right now. So, does anyone really expect him to compete with Carr? </sarcasm>

Weigh ins this morning

Axmear, Zach Open 149 148.4 IOWA
Brands, Nelson Open 165 164.8 IOWA
Cassioppi, Tony Open 285 266.8 IOWA
Glosser, Jaren Open 157 156.4 IOWA
Kelly, Joe Open 157 157.0 IOWA
McDonald, Tristan Open 165 164.4 IOWA
Stickley, Justin Open 141 140.4 IOWA
Turk, Vince Open 141 140.6 IOWA

No Perez so hopefully that doesn’t mean he’s going tonight.

Is Brands scared to wrestle Carr? This could have been the 3rd time they’ve wrestled but he keeps going 165? Is Terry holding him back so he doesn’t lose his confidence? Interesting delevopment.

Historically our true freshmen have often wrestled up a weight. No need to read into Brands being 165 besides him weighing that now.
