Since this is HROT and none of you millionaires cook...

...my wife (no pic) isn't the best in the kitchen but she makes good cheese stuffed pasta shells

I don't know how well I'd handle dating a gal who thought she could cook anything better me. I'm in the market for a baker.

Home-made cookies. She makes great cookies of all sorts of varieties.

She makes really good spaghetti sauce, too.

She makes a good taco soup, but otherwise I can out cook her by a large margin....unless you like bland. If you like bland, she wins.

My wife is from upstate New York and I'm Cajun so I do the vast majority of cooking items that don't come out of a box.

Her goto is spaghetti with a jar of sauce and frozen bagged meatballs and garlic bread. Sometimes she'll do a broccoli and chicken casserole with canned soup as a sauce.

Sometimes she'll try crock pot recipes out of magazines, but she usually has me add and adjust toward the end to make palatable.

Homemade macaroni and cheese.

But my signature recipe is the chocolate Guinness bacon cake.

Guinness bacon cake.

I've wanted to try that since the first time I saw you post it

My wife is a decent baker.

But dinner? A bowl of cereal is probably her go to.

Her go to dish is a granny smith apple wrapped in a paper towel that she gives to me on my way to work.

Water on the rocks with some saltines... but really, banana bread or peanut butter balls are really the only thing she makes.

Her 'goal' is to cook dinner once a month. I think she tries to follow recipes too closely rather than shoot from the hip on things (when not baking). Hopefully she finds something she enjoys cooking though as it stresses her out too much. She doesn't listen to me though and I enjoy cooking so I just cover the rest of the month.

My fiance cant cook anything that isn't in a box with detailed instructions. I am a pretty decent cook and have been going through her grandmothers recipe box and it appears that she is just one of the many people in her lineage that cant cook to save their lives. Everything comes from a can or a box.
