Some world leaders aren't smart. Trump does not hold grudges. If you want good things one simply needs to praise Trump and say good things. Even if you have said bad things about him in the past (Vance) This is certainly a personality flaw of his but should preclude world leaders from playing off it.
I am going to go out on a limb and guess there is NO way Trump holds that letter up as a trophy and parades it around the Oval Office.
