I don't see Iowa State anywhere. Shirley the re-loaded Prohm-Domes are near the top, yes?

Oh, and fire Fran!

This is what I expected and is fair. I think Iowa has a 2 seed wrapped up, but I think it'll be a stone cold lock if they win on Friday.
I'd say right now your 2 seeds are Iowa, Houston, Alabama, Ohio State.

It'll be interesting to see how the committee places teams, and especially (and obviously) the Big Ten considering there's potentially gonna be 4 teams among the top 2 seeds. Will they separate all 4 or place any in the same region?

Also, is it still a possibility that the Big Ten gets THREE #1 seeds?

Gonzaga will be a #1 for sure. I can’t really imagine Baylor playing themselves off the 1 line. Can’t imagine Houston or Iowa jumping a 2-loss Baylor team who has also played in a pretty good conference.
I probably didn't think that through enough. What I really should be asking is could Ohio State, or more likely, Iowa possibly steal a #1 seed from Michigan or Illinois?

Or do we believe that both Illinois and Michigan are locked in as 1 seeds?

I watched a little of Alabama this weekend and wasn’t impressed. It could have just been a bad game on their part but I’m not sure they would have better than a .500 record in the BT.

Alabama being ranked that high is an absolute joke. Arguably their only good win is early in the season against Tennessee.

They're a 4 or 5 seed caliber team disguised as a potential 1 seed.

Iowa would absolutely demolish the Tide if they were 1 and 2 in the same bracket.

Michigan’s 1 seed should not be locked in, although it probably is.

If they lose on Friday they might. Our game against Illinois, if we beat our opponent Friday is going to be a battle for a 1 seed if Michigan loses early.

Michigan and Illinois are both one seeds. I can’t see either dropping.

The B1G tournament never matters as much as people think. It ends too late.

I think Iowa's a #2 in #1 Baylor's side. Would put #2 tO$U with Gonzaga.

While anything is possible, I think Illinois beating Michigan and OSU probably locked them in and I think Michigan is locked in. For either Iowa or OSU to get in, I think Illinois would have to lose their game Friday rather badly and then have Iowa or OSU dominate their way to Sunday and maybe to the championship.

I think just the opposite, I think Illinois has to win Friday and then we need to beat them Saturday to steal a #1 from them.

I'm sure you'll appreciate my opinion here, but I think Illinois is all but locked. A win Friday would make it 100%. I think Iowa could make an interesting case if they were to win the BTT, but I think that only gets them close, not quite enough.

As for the 2 seeds, looks like Bama is mostly likely to be in the Illinois region, Houston will be is scUM's. And thus probably Iowa for Baylor, Ohio St with Zags.

^ Isn’t the actual BTT Championship Game result notoriously NOT thoroughly considered for seeding, and they pencil in a spot for both teams? The game is kind of late on Selection Sunday. Or is that an old wives’ tale?

Anyway, I think Illinois is probably locked in. A loss to Rutgers OR Indiana on a neutral floor won’t even really hurt our NET numbers, and the best anyone could do is catch us in Q1 wins at this point. I think if we win Friday, there isn’t a debate left to be had.

(This is my opinion of what the Committee will decide, not just my opinion on what “should be.”)

If we lose it doesn't matter.

But Iowa getting a 1 seed is still doable in my opinion. If we beat Wisconsin for a 3rd time, beat Illinois, and then beat Michigan or Ohio State, that's 3 more Quad 1 wins for us, which would basically put us one behind Illinois, who would only have that one extra win because of their Quarterfinal win.

We wouldn't have to blow anyone out, although that never hurts. ;)

And given that we're either 5th or 6th in most rankings/metrics, I don't see how we can't move up any higher than that by beating teams rated ahead of us.

Just sayin.....

For sure! They will either be sent to Indiana or...Indiana.

If UM loses and we end up winning the BTT, we could end up with a #1 seed.
