Iowa hit the offensive lineman position early and often as it built its 2024 recruiting class, landing some pieces that could be fixtures up front for the Hawkeyes for several years to come. OL is also the position unit where Iowa landed its most highly-rated recruits -- both 4-star recruits, Cody Fox, and William Nolan, are part of the OL unit.
In many ways, this collection has a lot in common with Iowa's prototypical OL recruits. it's both local (one in-state prospect, the other three from Illinois) and developmental; none of the four linemen in this class are likely to see the field as true freshmen, but they all have high upside and the ability to become significant contributors once they have a little time in the weight room and learn the playbook.
