Road games are huge in the first half of the 2022 season for the Iowa Hawkeyes this season.

Iowa is likely 4-3 to open 2022 at best. A 5-2 start doesn't appear possible with this coaching staff, but playing well on the road is key, and a 2 out of 3 start would be a positive.

Massey has Iowa 16, Illinois 14 this week 🤔 Iowa hasn't lost in 14 years, but Iowa State and Michigan both ended losing streaks at Kinnick in 2022.

The Iowa State game should of, could of and would of been a win, had Iowa avoided a turf tackle on the one critical drive.

It is a game of inches and one play illustrates it quite well in the CyHawk Game, again.

The officiating in Iowa’s two losses was noticeable against the Hawkeyes. At the same time, Iowa struggled in controlling the line of scrimmage, which is a must if the Hawkeyes wish to win in the B1G West.

It looks like three clear losses to open at 4-3 at best. But, at Illinois isn't a picnic, so the Hawkeyes better bring their A game.

Massey sees Iowa finishing at 7-5 in 2022, as a Top 35 team right now.
