Things getting ugly for Iowa in Wichita, although it is early in game one. Sasha Kuebel had by far his worst start of the year going 3.1 innings and its like he had absolutely no control today. Throwing wild pitches, hitting guys, walking guys...no idea whats up.

Iowa down 8-2 and not even out of the 4th, such a shame too considering Iowa was 7-6 and had an RPI of 28 this early in the year.

Iowa lost 9-6 to UNO, giving up 3 runs in the Top 3rd and 5 in the Top 4th, probably the worst outing of Kuebel's career so far.

UNO has won two in a row over Big Ten teams as they beat Minnesota on Wednesday.

Iowa defeats UNO today 4-1 with a STRONG out from Matt Dermody. He goes 7.1 innings allowing 5 hits and 1 run. Dermody moves to 4-0 on the year with a 2.21 ERA. I don't understand Iowa's hitting struggles this weekend. Maybe it's part of being so young, they aren't doing much against two starters so far that had ERA's in the 7-8 range. Iowa faces a guy who has an .9 ERA on Monday morning.
