Well f*** I'm just gonna lead with the fact that as a more unfortunate part of the game, the Lions are finding out the hard way that karma doesn't give a sh** about your feel-good story first division title in 30 years.......if you bite off one too many kneecaps, (let's say intentionally injuring a former player who now plays for a rival) karma WILL return the favor by taking away your starting TE for the season, but this time, without anything dirty involved.
Unfortunately it looks Iike Sam LaPorta's season is gonna be done after that knee injury in the 1st half.
Meanwhile, the Lions and Vikings are trading low-energy plays to see who can give the game away first.
The Lions want to get a lead and rest starters, the Vikings coaching staff is trying to coach for wins, the Vikings defense is intentionally doing their part to try to earn the Vikings a top 12 draft pick, particularly CB Akayleb Evans, while the Lions are recognizing this and trying to return the favor and let the Vikings come back and win so that they DON'T get that draft pick. Not to mention a win really does nothing for the Vikings at this point, as they're not gonna make the playoffs and even if they do, given their injuries and personnel, it would be a futile effort in the Wild Card game, which Detroit would gladly welcome as a consolation for conceding defeat today.
It's hilarious watching these last 5 minutes of game time.
Jefferson had the long TD on 4th down at the end of the 3rd, then Evans intentionally gives up the long TD to St. Brown for Detroit, and then the Lions return the favor just now with a long TD to Jordan Addison.
