Has it ever happened this far into the season that the same team has the stingiest defense and the worst offense? The Good Defense - Iowa is close in both. IF the Illinois/Minnesota game is 'high' scoring, meaning Illinois gives up more than 21 points and Minnesota gives up more than 16 ALONG with Georgia giving up more than 6 and if Michigan does not shutout PSU, Iowa will have the best scoring defense.
Now with the offense since Iowa is on a bye week, the following teams have any offense with a pulse will move above Iowa in total offense. Colorado St. needs more than 214 yards, UMass needs more than 189 yards, New Mexico needs more than 127 yards and New Mexico St. needs more than 100 yards. On the offense scoring stats, If Colorado St scores more than 30, UMass scores more than 27, New Mexico St scores more than 21 and Colorado scores more than 22, Iowa will have the lowest yardage offense AND the lowest scoring offense. All the scoring may not occur, but the yardage is very reachable. NOW, THAT IS OFFENSIVE.
