Looks like an "own goal" post to me, bud.
NY was in prime position for a major outbreak, with a far higher population density than Sweden. And yet, they now have their outbreak under control, compared to Sweden.

It’s burned itself out in Sweden, and they didn’t have to euthanize thousands of innocents to do it.
A) It hasn't "burned itself out"; Sweden has - at best - about 10% immunity, a far cry from the 60-70% needed for this
B) They did "euthanize thousands" and have a worse per-capita death rate than the US
C) Their economic performance is literally on par with Denmark,Norway and Finland, who DID lock down.
The Swedes are taking harsher tactics as they saw what was happening in their populations; they mask up; they distance; they don't treat it "like the flu"

You're actually praising the way New York responded? In another thread, where the democratic run states are featured in a graph, you mentioned "if you take out NY and NJ..." Why would you say that? New York has it under control, right?

Other states watched that mess, and doubled down on the stupid.
Sweden isn't doing much better; they seem to be rather slow posting updates, and that generally means bad things are happening behind the scenes.
What does that mean? That sounds pretty ambiguous. "Front-line on this?"
Yes, NYC was the first city of its size to suffer the worst case numbers and deaths and it spread into the entire New England Area- NJ, MA, CT, RI and even PA. They did an amazingly poor job containing it, and having the highest number of cases and most deaths by far than anywhere else in the country.
It could have been worse... I guess. There are some survivors.

Its almost as if those who were parading Sweden around as an example of how to fight covid stopped watching what happened in Sweden the last couple months.
Again: comparing what is currently going on in FL, TX, CA, GA isn't comparable to NY, because the info we have now is far different from what we had then.

The WH had MUCH more information than NY did, and did not get out in front warning us about it. Instead, we got "hoax"; "It'll go away when it gets warm"; etc etc etc.
They knew a lot more; everyone was too chickenshit to piss Trump off to say or do anything about it. Literally, they still are, ignoring basic mask mandates, etc.
Oh, yeah... Trump is magic genie preventing people, who know he's full of shit, from doing what will actually help them. They're waiting for Trump to tell them what to do.
