#10 FSU 0-2, but still a path to playoffs, experts say

After losing to unranked George Tech in Ireland and last night to unranked Boston College, the "experts" suggest FSU can still make the playoffs. The good news is that the expanded (12-teams) playoff doesn't mean you have to go undefeated any more, which invites teams to schedule more interesting and challenging nonconference games. The bad news, for FSU, is losing your first two games to unranked teams means you have little to no margin for error the rest of the way.

FSU's defense showed some awful attempts at tackling last night, so we'll see if the overrated boys from FSU can figure it out. But cheers to the expanded playoffs either way.

I have no idea how strong the ACC is, but if FSU wins out (would include beating Clemson, Miami and ND) and can get into and win ACCCG, they would not finish behind TWO G5 champs in the CFP rankings, and likely would clinch a top 4 seed. The way of the new expanded CFP world…

Edit - They wouldn't even have to beat ND. 10-3 ACC champ would get in the CFP, with decent chance at top 4 seed.

If you watched 10 minutes of Monday night's game, you would know they barely have a path to play MN in the Detroit Bowl! 🤣
