bagdropper: didn't you also say that the Brewers would not fire Yost before the end of the 2008 season?
And the Cubs?I bet you wish you were a Royals fan about now. Brewers dump Yost, go into crapper/
Royals hire Yost, first World Series appearance in three decades.
Reap it.
And the Cubs?
Talk to me in August. On an unstoppable upswing!
Theo is the man and Joe Maddon is the rookie whisperer.
Actually, judging by how this team is shaping out and the realization of that fact by Kirk Ferentz....it probably is.Yeah, possibly. That was utterly ridiculous. I know they made it to the playoffs, but they had to ruin Sabathia's arm and career to do it.
The only way KF is canned is if Iowa turns in an ISU type season. And that ain't happening.

Iowa could lose more games against this "weak" schedule because they're not a good team themselves. The talent level is not there at all. Doesn't matter if you want or expect Iowa to do better simply because the schedule is "weaker". If you're a bad team, then you're a bad team. It's like giving this schedule to Colorado, for example, and telling them that it'd be a joke if they don't win 9 games. Colorado is a bad team. They wouldn't win 6 games against Iowa's schedule simply for that fact.
Iowa may not either........just sayin.
