They haven't even played a 12 team playoff and they're talking about 14?!? With the B1G and SEC wanting 4 autobids each, leaving 6 spots for Group of 7 conferences.
1. Just play 12 as is and see how it works.
2. 14 is stupid, just do 16.
3. I have no problem with the B1G and SEC getting 4 each, although on occasion they may only have 3 worthy. It would incentivize them to play their best teams against one another more to drive up TV revenue without the fear of diluting the pool of playoff worthy teams by handing good teams extra losses.
4. If they did 16, then there would still be 8 solid teams from the group of 7/independents that would get in. There will be some VERY compelling matchups.
