14 wins should win B1G

That sounds about right logically without looking at schedules.

Who do you have Indiana losing to? They have 1 game against MSU, Purdue & Maryland. They have 2 against Iowa. At least half those are at home.

sweeping Indiana would go a long way.

Indiana will get their lumps. I think 3 losses wins it outright, 4 may be co-champ status. MSU has the easiest schedule left of the "favorites". Maryland has MSU, Iowa, @Indy and Purdue twice.

Just briefly looked at the top 4 teams' schedules and I think Ind has a tough go of it in their last 7 games or so.

Indiana has road games @Michigan, @MSU and @Iowa down the stretch of the last 8. Everything else of meaning is at home. They will definitely lose some games and probably an unexpected one. We are also talking a Tom Crean coached team too but just on paper they have a favorable league schedule is the point. They should be right in the mix until the end.

They play MSU, Maryland, Purdue & Michigan one time each. They also play Northwestern once who is a bubble team this year(at home).

So if you look at what might be the top 7 (half the B1G) in any order... Iowa, Indiana, MSU, Michigan, Purdue, Maryland & Northwestern..... They play only Iowa twice of those other 6 teams. So 7 of the 12 possible games, four of which are at home.

To compare against that list of 7, Iowa plays MSU, Purdue, Indiana, Michigan twice so 10 of those 12 possible games, with 5 at home.

We also travel to OSU, they got them at home.

Not saying Indiana is going to win it and we cannot. It appears their road is advantageous to doing so. But again it's Crean

I honestly feel like it's a 3 horse race between Iowa, MSU, and Maryland. Iowa has the upper hand currently by beating MSU twice. If Maryland plays like they did against OSU they'll be tough to beat regardless of who and where they're playing. Don't get me wrong, I think Indiana and Purdue are good teams, but in the end I'm betting on the teams with the best coaches and most talent regardless of schedule.

I think 3 losses will win it outright, and 4 losses will get us a tie w/ at least one other team.

Ind will definitely be in there til the end. Schedule's just to easy.

I'm not a betting man and I'm getting close to putting money on the Hawks winning more than 14 games in the B1G. I also tend to be the type that doesn't get too high or too low (read that as excited or ticked). I'm just pretty convinced this is the best Iowa team since Davis' first season, and maybe better than that one.

I don't know if they're better than '87 but without question the best team since that squad.

We are really, really good. Very efficient and these guys get along like the football team. A lot of fun!!

IU definitely got a break in the scheduling, and I think that will keep them in the top 4 or 5. Iowa is ahead of the other contenders based on 4 wins against other top teams. IU hasn't lost, but they really haven't beaten a contender. Maryland has probably the best talent, but they haven't played the other top teams yet and have one loss. Purdue and MSU have some ground to make up. Michigan has a shot, especially if LeVert comes back soon. There is a LOT of season left to play.

I thought that Iowa would be a 10-8 or 11-7 team before the season started. Obviously, I would be very disappointed with that now. I think there are still 5 or 6 teams that could win a share of the conference title. Results so far suggest that Iowa, Maryland and IU are in the best position to win, but MSU, Purdue and Michigan still have a shot. I don't think anyone will finish better than 15-3, and 14-4 could win it.
