Below is the Top 20 viewed games so far.

The first 13 games listed below involve SEC & B1G teams ONLY.

When it comes to the Other 2 conferences (ACC, Big 12):

* The 14th game listed below had an ACC (Georgia Tech) and an SEC team (Georgia).

* The Big 12 is not represented in this list.

This country likes themselves some Texas, Georgia and Alabama football. I can't imagine the pressure the CFP Committee was under to get 'Bama that final playoff spot instead of SMU, to set up a 'Bama-Penn St game. I'm still not sure I agree that it was the right decision, but at least they didn't cave.

Also, Kentucky must've had a great SEC schedule to be included in that group.

Of course they dominate viewership numbers. Look at the network it was on. Media owns college football so they put the teams/conferences on TV that they pay big dollars to. Most of the public is too stupid to understand what is going on with college football. The good old days are gone.

I know you just came here to rant, but it's not like ABC, ESPN and FOX never had Big 12 games on in good time slots. SEC obviously is the big dog as far as viewership goes, with the Big Ten second and then ACC/Big 12 a distant third/fourth in some order, followed by everyone else. Nothing new.

Fans across the country interested in matchups will find where those games are being televised.

It is clear that national viewer interest in the Other 2 conference schools was not very high.

Army-Navy delivered the 11th-largest audience
of the college football season and was easily the most-watched game that did not involve the SEC or Big Ten.

Remember when Clown fans bragged about their viewership numbers? LOL

Not ONE Big 12 team is listed below. Not even the Big 12 Championship game made this list!

To be fair, one must figure in the population footprint these -conferences cover. East Coast, Rust Belt, Florida, Texas and California/west coast is a lot of people. Their conference numbers better he high due their population base.
Thank you. No mystery to this, which is why there is no Iowa or Nebraska on the list.

I think we can narrow it down to Texas, OSU,Georgia, and Bama dominate the 2024 viewership numbers. Everyone else is just along for the ride.

Yep, network matters more than anything. Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa and even PSU get comparable numbers on BTN playing a Central Michigan at 11:00 am CST in September, lol. Good teams are regularly on FOX, NBC, CBS, etc., and they thus have higher average viewers.
