I thought when MSU made their run to get it close again that MTSU was going to go away but they played well the rest of the half as well. I think if they can stay in the game the first 5 minutes of the second half than it will be a close game till the end.

MSU will pull this out. Izzo is very good at getting his teams to turn it on when they need to. And they always seem to get the whistle in the final 3 minutes.

This was not the same michigan state as Izzo's teams of the past. They don't have the elite perimeter defenders and their offense all comes from Valentine. Forbes can hit threes but that's about it, he's also pretty weak. I wanted to pick the upset today but I couldn't bring myself to it after looking at Middle Tennessee's resume. I did have them losing to Syracuse in the next round. I know, I know, cool story bro. I just thought that they were way overrated the entire year as was most of the big ten.

Now we know, whichever Big Ten team that couldn't win against Iowa in two tries got bounced in the first round, and whichever that Iowa couldn't beat, advanced to the second round. Iowa is the measuring stick.
