I completely disagree. Cory Clark would not All American if he was at 141. He would get outmuscled.
Just imagine if he wrestled HWT. Yikes...

Do you suppose that's because those guys have 8 more lbs of muscle in them? Remember Clark was at 125 his Freshman year. It's kinda like saying he'd get out muscled at 149. Sure he would. Those guys are just plain bigger than him.I completely disagree. Cory Clark would not All American if he was at 141. He would get outmuscled.
Yes. Why does the 5th place 133 All American Gulibon go up to 141 and become unseeded and the 5th ranked All American 125 Garrett move up to 133 and become top dog? How many top international medalists are at 133? 125 has Gilman and 141 has McKenna."

You might be right in 2 years about McKenna, Jordan, Ashnault, and Heil. If they are all still at 141 in 2 years you have the making over a very good weight. Right now, not so much.I think its a young talented weight and give it time and the cream of the crop will be every good as the 133 group, but much more deep.
-------141 has more than their share of top 10 ranked recruits in the past 5 years (the average would be 5 (50 /10) but they have 8). McKenna, Chishko, Micah Jordan, Gullibon, Ashnault, Kolodzik, Mark Grey, Meeks were all top 10 recruits in the past 5 years.
I believe 133 has just two: Mason Beckman and Kaid Brock.
174 is also pretty weak, IMO. Brunson is probably the 3rd best guy at that weight and he has never blown me away
There is no way Clark would get outmuscled at 141. Perhaps if he weighed in at 133 and the other at 141, but even then I'd bet on Clark's strength to win the day. He is freaky strong.
Did you see flow analyzed 184? They don't have Brooks in the contenders or the dark horse class and don't even mention him as a threat to AA. Big 10 champ and #2 seed and no mention. Seems odd.
Dake sure got outmuscled every year he moved up a weight, what a fool he was!I completely disagree. Cory Clark would not All American if he was at 141. He would get outmuscled.
I am tired of hearing 141 is weak, when its not. I think its because Stieber, Port and Dardanes graduated and you have an influx of young talent that aren't as established. McKenna, Jordan and Chisko are all top 10 recruits and freshmen. Thorn, Zacherl and Bleise are freshmen too. Jack would have been a freshman had he shirted. That's 7 seeded guys from the freshman class. Gullibon was a top recruit and new to the weight. Heil and Ashnault were top end recruits and are both sophomores. I think its a young talented weight and give it time and the cream of the crop will be every good as the 133 group, but much more deep.
Clark would get destroyed at 141.
That's not true at all. Heil hasn't lost to a 133 guy this year. My opinion is 133 is weaker than 141. We can agree to disagree. That's fine.
WHO?Dan Neff would think 141 is a tough weight class. He was 7-8 at 141 and he's 19-0 at 149 this year.

If Dan Neff from Lock Haven does happen to win his first match he will then have to wrestle, Brandon Sorensen from the University of Iowa. Neff will wish he was back down at 141#.Dan Neff would think 141 is a tough weight class. He was 7-8 at 141 and he's 19-0 at 149 this year.
