23 bracket impact games today. Looking at the spreads today could be absolutely nuts in terms of teams in the current field getting beat by teams who aren’t even close. Bottom of the field may very well weaken today but I think we could see 4-5 top 16 teams drop games today/tomorrow as well.

Moss looking good here to start the 2nd half. Missed one bunny, but being aggressive and getting to the paint.

Auburn getting beat by Tennessee at home, and Marquette down by 12 at Providence could really help put those teams squarely behind us.
Do remember Auburn is without one of their best players, so judging them now may not make sense, but it SHOULD drop them firmly behind us for the time being.

I realize this is obvious, but both of these teams are really good. Especially Kansas. This is my first time watching either one of them play. Look like the top two teams imo.

Azubuike has been having a dunk fest most of the game. Moss has been a solid contributor for them today.
Don't like either team, particularly(puke) ku but there are very high level athletes on both of these teams. Either one of them making it to the final four would not be surprising.

Agreed. Both these teams can play lock down D.

Less than 10 minutes to go in the first half and Purdue--@ home--is scorching the nets for a mighty ELEVEN points--one point a minute.

That Iowa game was the outlier of outliers. Purdue now down to Michigan 17-11 with 8:32 to go in the first .... Haarms just missed a dunk and then threw the ball away. Still 17-11 with 7:21 to go in the first. Wow.

That's basketball

Powerhouse Duquesne is tied up with #5 Dayton.
5min left in the 1st half @ Dayton

Home of this year's NCAA POY
Probably a Final 4 team too...

NOT!!

purdue slumping. they most likely need to win out the remainder of the regular season and 2 in the BTT to have a shot at an at large.

Pedestrian win over duquesne, but that's all they need. If Dayton wins out they're looking at a 2 seed.

Does anyone really buy that SD State and Dayton are better than the rest of the country? Ever since Cinderellas started getting more respect I feel like the pendulum has overswung. Beat a couple good teams in non con then run the table in a so-so conference and you are now the best?

I definitely think they have the pieces, and considering how often teams go undefeated... what would you do with San Diego St? Dayton hasn't been beaten in regulation... We've seen what, 2 teams do that over the last 10 years (Kentucky and Wichita St.)?

Not so much that I wouldn't rank them, but that they can and will be beaten in the tourney.

Hmm, KenPom has them 4 and 6 so... who knows? Maybe they are that good? I'm still a non-believer.

Dayton is good but even some off nights in the A10 should be wins. Put them in a major conference and those off nights are losses. This could be said about Creighton, Butler, SD State, and even Gonzaga.

True enough, but I think the point is whether SD State and Dayton would have similar results in, say, the Big Ten. After all, they're all being evaluated on the "same" standards, so if you think you're a top five team, how about playing 20 Big Ten games. I'd like to see what kind of record Dayton, SD State, Gonzaga, et. al would have then.

Major conference schools are downgraded for playing a "weak" non-con schedule much more so than mid-majors are downgraded for playing the majority of their games in clearly weak conferences--IMHO.

And no, the NCAA Tourney doesn't equalize things in most cases because the mid-majors in weak conferences are rewarded with higher seeds while the Big Ten teams, for example, are "rewarded" with lower seeds because they play in a meat-grinder league--FWIW.

Mighty (sarcasm) SDSU down 12 at home to .500 UNLV at half....their fans are ****ing annoying on Twitter.
SDSU fans may have the biggest inferiority complex among mid major fan bases. Any time a national publication has something about Garza, it’s a guarantee there will be a plethora of SDSU fans bragging about shutting him down (he was in foul trouble that game).

Bingo, any tweet that involved Iowa or Garza on national stage those Clowns always chime in on what they did vs us/him. **** them. GO UNLV!!

Not sure what you're getting at with the creighton and butler references because the big east is a major conference. Lowly depaul, the team that throttled Iowa early in the season, is their worse team and still in the top 100 NET(#74). Compare that to the turds at the bottom of the B1G(jnw 159 and nebby 184).
Agree with the sdsu and gonzaga references as their leagues are 2nd tier or lower. But the big east is a big time league, solid throughout.

How? In the f***. Was that not a flagrant foul? Those refs are cowards.
