Can anyone make a case that the new $2.2B media rights deal is not to a large degree (maybe exclusively) the result of massive increase in fan interest in the W resulting from the arrival of CC?

It's certainly a gamble that this year is not a bubble and will at least maintain where it is today

A large part of it is due to CC and her fan base. However there has been some increase in women's professional sports over the last few years. Women's professional soccer is growing pretty well
