Brock Boltmann could play quarterback or safety in college.

Playing for his father at Edina High School, Brock Boltmann has had quite a prep career at quarterback, but could also project on the other side of the ball at safety in college. This past weekend, the 6-foot-1, 192-pound Minnesota native had a chance to visit one of the schools that is looking at him on defense, the Iowa Hawkeyes. We caught up with him afterwards to talk about the trip and get the latest on his recruiting.

Q: What were the highlights of the Iowa visit for you?

BOLTMANN: I loved seeing the new facilities and experiencing the coaches.

Q: Who did you talk with coaching wise and what they did have to say?

BOLTMANN: Coach Parker and Coach Wallace. They are interested in me as a safety.

Q: What's your overall impression of Iowa right now?

BOLTMANN: It’s the nicest college I’ve been to.

Q: What's next recruiting wise? Where do you visit next?

BOLTMANN: Well, I just got offered by Cornell, but I’m not sure about the next visit.

Q: What other schools are showing the most interest right now?

BOLTMANN: North Dakota, North Dakota State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Montana, and Wyoming.

As a junior, Boltmann threw for 1,460 yards and nine touchdowns.
