Q: How was your trip to Iowa?
COONS: The trip was great trip. Your really got to know the coaches and a lot about the program.

Q: What was your schedule during the trip
COONS: On Friday we had dinner with the coaches and some of the players at Buffalo Wild Wings. After that we had a presentation at the Capitol. On Saturday we had breakfast, an academic presentation, a highlight video of the team, and a strength presentation with Coach Doyle.

Q: What was your favorite part of the trip?
COONS: My favorite part was just meeting some great people and getting to better get aquatinted with the coaches

Q: Having made visits before to Iowa, what did you learn from the trip?
COONS: (I) learned that the coaches are all about the kids.

Q: What did it mean to you to land an offer from the Hawkeye this summer?
COONS: It was like a dream come true. I watched them growing up and I always have wanted to be a division one athlete.

Q: When do you plan on making a final decision?
COONS: I will wait to see all of my options before I commit to a school.

Q: Do you think you will decide this school year?
COONS: I will decide before my senior season of football.

Q: Do you think you'll do other college camps next summer?
COONS: I think I will but I don't know which college camps I will go to.

Q: Outside of Iowa and Iowa state what schools are recruiting u?
COONS: Vanderbilt wants me to walk on and I got a information form from Notre Dame.

Q: Do you have a favorite as of now?
COONS: As of now, no.

Q: What are the biggest factors in your final decision?
COONS: Just what is the best fit for me.

Q: Would it be hard to turn down a school you grew up following in Iowa?
COONS: It would be. But in the end, I would have to do what is best for me and my family. God will take care of the rest.

Q: What schools are you hoping to visit this fall?
COONS: Right now, Iowa and Iowa state. After that I don't really know what schools I would like to visit.
