Coming off a successful season that included 21 wins, an NCAA tournament appearance and wins over highly ranked Michigan and in-state rival Iowa State, Fran McCaffrey’s squad looks for success again as they battle the Big Ten’s best.

Gary Barta, Iowa’s Athletic Director stated “Fran’s ability to provide fans with an exciting brand of basketball while achieving consistent success is truly remarkable, I am thrilled with the opportunity to achieve yet another NCAA invitation and a middle-of-the-pack Big Ten finish in the 2019-2020 season. In addition, we are also adding one additional soft-serve ice cream station at Carver-Hawkeye to further enhance our fan experience”.

Sign me up as not renewing. I’ll give up my four seats and watch from home. I can take the savings and put it towards football tix or vacation. Either way I’ll be better off. I’m not coming back until Fran is gone.

He did a good job resurrecting it from the dumps of TL, but we’ve reached his ceiling. .500 in conference is tremendous according to the ball coach.
