With all due respect to Iowa's development of LBs (and TEs and OLs and DEs and DBs), Iowa really needs to focus on WRs for a change. Baker may be the top 2019 Iowa HS recruit for next year but he is still at a size where he could become a quality WR - given his current 6'2" 215 build and athleticism. He plays RB and LB is HS but he is projected as a OLB. Seems like Iowa has gotten a lot of LB commitments lately.

IMO, Iowa could use some quality bodies in its receiving corps.

I have been asking for us to over recruit the WR position for years. It has clearly been a weakness for some time ( I know, Cool Story Bro!).
It can be a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy as guys may not want to come here because we dont sling the ball around. That is where BF needs to leverage his NFL background and sell our NEW, more aggressive passing attack (yes, a bit of a stretch). We also need to capitalize on the talent we have had past, present and future at the QB position (Banks, Tate, Stanzi, Rudock, CJB, Stanley, TBD).

Seems like Iowa gets a late start on its recruiting of WRs. Granted BK and GDGD never intrigued me at developing WRs or a passing game. Brian and Kelton (Copeland) need more time to change the Iowa culture and perception amongst future recruits. Hope Iowa can start making a honest push in Mizzou and Indiana for WRs.

so WR is an issue and you want to take a player at RB and try to make him a WR? That doesn't sound like a solution to me. Considering we need an upgrade at that position, I'm of the belief we need to recruit players that actually play and excel at that position.

Tyrone Tracy, from Indiana, is currently scheduled to play wr for Iowa...David Bell would be an excellent "get" from Indiana in next year's class.

In this case I'm thinking we're putting a square peg into a round hole if we're try to develop him at WR. Rather than develop let's just recruit guys who play the WR consistently at the High School level. For this kid I hope it's LB or RB for him. If we are going to develop anyone into a WR from a different position let it be a dual threat QB. At least a dual threat QB understands the importance of routes and fitting in the soft areas in zone coverage.
