21-9 (12-6)

Good season, and met my expectations. Could have been better, but there's still time.

Now can we please finally get passed the 2nd round of the big ten tournament.

2-9 since 06.

This has been a pretty good season overall, and a great season is still possible. If the Hawks can get decent play off the bench, they can still do a lot of damage in the post-season. Dom has played like a freshman for the past month, and it is time for him to show some toughness and at least start playing some defense. Baer and Wagner consistently bring energy and court awareness, just not a lot of scoring. Williams looks a little lost at times, but his size and athleticism helps on defense. He just needs the confidence to play aggressively on offense.

I had 11-7 so 1 game over what I thought. It's a wide open tourney but they will have to play well if they want to make a run. Fran has flaws like every coach but you can't argue with going 12-6 back to back, first time since 86 and 87. That surprised me some.

What was our overall record last year at this point? Better or worse than 21-9?

If I were UI SID I don't think I'd brag too much about first back to back 12 Conf win seasons in 30 years. That says more about our mediocrity the last 30 years than our success the past two years. Mediocre-to-good, but seldom great.

I love to see you rank programs over the past 30 years and come back to this thread.

I picked 9-9 and 19 wins overall, so Ill take my Crow with a side a collard greens.

That's also what I thought coming in and right on the bubble. Had it not been for the 4 game losing streak we were probably looking at 13-14 wins. Not too bad at all considering the loss of White & Olesani.

Could have been better, but 12-6 is pretty damn good considering the B1G schedule Iowa played.

I'll give a "Hell Yeah" if they run the BTT table, for now they get a Well Done Men!

Should have won the title, best chance we've had in a long time.

Shoulda woulda's do not count. That's why you play the entire season out. We got very close. I am not sold that we will not get another shot at one down the road if the program continues to be stable and keeps working to get better. He is slowly upgrading the types of players we are bringing in and Fran is racking up experience on how to manage success/failure, pressure, expectations, etc.

For a team that was picked to finish the season in 9th place you have to say it was a good season. But, when you consider we were third in the nation and winning the regular season at one point, the finish is disappointing. I really hope we have a strong post season with a good showing in the B1G tourney and a nice run in the Big Dance.

Back to back 12-6 is good, I agree. Let's just celebrate that without saying it's the first time we've done it in 30 years.

Exceeded my expectations. I had us as a Bubble team, on the side of "out".

They played some of the best basketball I've seen during their "up" stretch. They fell back to earth with some shaky-at-best play. It was hard to watch.

Still, 12-6 is a far cry from out of the tournament. Some kudos to the coaching staff and players, with a reasonable "good luck" for the rest of the season. Hope they find their mojo.
