Robert Reich, who served as labor secretary in the Clinton administration, was honored by Time magazine as one of the 10 most effective cabinet secretaries of the 20th century. He’s a Rhodes scholar, a best-selling author, a documentarian and a professor of public policy at the University of California at Berkeley.

What he’s not, apparently, is a fan of billionaires clinging tightly to their riches:

Jeff Bezos' D.C. mansion will have: — 2 elevators — 25 bathrooms — 1,006 light fixtures — A full movie theater

Amazon's Whole Foods cut health benefits for part-time workers less than 2 months ago. Tax the rich.

Bathrooms are probably the most important
rooms in the house. You can’t be walking too
far to take a leak or drop a deuce.
Bottom line, when you’ve gotta go, you’ve
gotta go.

Midgets are funny.
Just sayin..

I think there was something about greed and gluttony too..

Not sure if gluttony is the right word but greed could be. However, Mr. Reich shows no interest in his piece to research the reasons for the extravagance. It is entirely possible that it made financial sense to park cash in a residence that could appreciate in value. Mr. Bezos May also use the residence as a tool for business and/or personal use including charitable use. His opinion is supported only by his jealousy and not in fact or an intention of understanding.

Mr. Reich has little man syndrome and now also little house syndrome.

Also, for a man whose career netted him more than the average CEO (who he is known for railing against regularly), I find it odd that his reported net worth is only a paltry $4M. Why take any financial wisdom from a man who apparently never put into practice his life’s study?
