If I’m ever in Brooklyn I would absolutely eat at Katz’s. It’s iconic and the national gold standard for a Jewish delicatessen. Besides $30 for a sandwich like that seems like a pretty good value for the NYC area.

because we dont eat like that everyday and our chefs make us eat healthy.
I'm pretty sure they called Thousand Island, Russian until the Cold War. It's kind of like how French dressing became Western. Dirty Russians.
Now that is where I'll punch a baby in the face. I have zero patience when waiting for most things and most certainly not food. Unless I can sit down and have a cocktail or two.
I went to Katz’s deli today and ordered the pastrami. Holy fuking shit was it delicious. For 27 dollars it was certainly worth it
That is not an outrageous price… Especially in New York, or Hawaii, or even in certain areas of Florida.
The sandwich was massive. Enough to split with my no pic wife.

There’s a rando non-famous deli in midtown that a former coworker of mine took me to a couple times that has the best pastrami I’ve ever had. I don’t remember the name of it and I’m not sure I could find it from my old office. It makes me sad.
