On postgame radio show, Fran said he was impressed that they outrebounded IU (37-32). He said everyone played well; they even got a couple minutes out of Mulvey.
Fran said the zone was active and Iowa contested. He mentioned that IU went up 6 and Iowa still didn't rattle.
Kris was the player of the game: Fran: He doesn't rattle; he looks like he's not having fun but he's always thinking and planning.
Fran on the crowd: It was impressive. They didn't quit on us.
Bobby said this to Fran: You didn't let your team die. Fran said he kept reminding the team that there was a lot of time left.

Any love for that Carver crowd tonight? I was pleasantly surprised with how the team had played lately, especially for 8 pm tip off. They were a factor and deserve credit for all the shit they get

Cripes.... I didn't realize that Kris played the whole game.
I figured Filip would be less than 38, since he got a breather and also fouled out.

Sometimes we overcomplicate the game when it really just is about hitting buckets. You won’t win many games hitting 23% from the 3.

If I were Fran I would try to scrounge up a million $ in NIL to try to get Kris to come back one more year. Might be hard to turn down guaranteed money for the NBA crapshoot. I know, dreaming. . .
